BU Student Government Hosts the Scholarly Spotlight Series

Posted by

While Boston University offers a wide range of resources on campus, many students are unaware of them.  In order to make these resources more readily available to students, the Academic Affairs department of BU Student Government is hosting the Scholarly Spotlight Series. The series will highlight the academic resources available to the BU community for one week. Each resource will be showcased between 11am and 1:30pm at the George Sherman Union.

The series will begin on Monday with the Educational Resource Center. Student Government representatives as well as ERC representatives will be available to answer questions and explain the different initiative of the ERC. On Tuesday, representatives for the Mugar Research Center will be answering questions about their space, as well as providing fun games and the opportunity to win a free t-shirt. The Center for Career Development will be available on Wednesday, providing informal resume tips, interview dos and don’ts and answering questions. They will also have games and prizes to win! On Thursday, students will be able to speak with representatives from the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program about grants and play trivia games. Wrapping up the week will be the Howard Thurman Center who will be presenting the various resources they have for the BU community.

Insomnia Cookies and hot apple cider will be provided.
